History
The call to build Summit Life Church was given to Michael and Christina Perron as they waited on the 11th floor of Children’s Medical Center. Their son was diagnosed with a brain tumor that afternoon and had just undergone surgery. As Michael was sitting in the waiting room at 2:00am he read Isaiah 42:6 and 9; “I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.” And verse 9 “Behold the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare, before they spring forth I tell you of them.” It was at that point they knew that God was calling them out of a church he had served in for 10 years to pursue the adventure of knowing God.
Summit Life Church opened it’s doors on September 15th 2009 in the Addison Conference Center to 21 people. Through God’s favor and a relentless pursuit of a singular mission, Summit Life Church has more than doubled it’s attendance in three months to the point of needing to move to new location. On January 31st 2010 Summit Life Church embarked on the next “camp location” in the Addison Event Center. God has placed His hand on Summit Life Church and we truly believe that the best is yet to come.
